With 15% of all stallholder takings going to Macmillan Cancer Support in Cornwall, it is a unique opportunity to sort your Christmas shopping in one fell swoop, in the knowledge that you are also raising funds for one of Cornwall’s most deserving causes.
An exciting and eclectic mix of stallholders ensures there genuinely is something for everyone on offer. Crafts and stocking fillers; fashion and handbags; country sport clothing and accessories; jewellery; cosmetics; children’s games and puzzles; decorative pieces and food are all represented. The organisers guarantee a regular rotation of stallholders, with the result that there is always something different every year both from inside and outside the county.
Exhibitors this year range from Rawhide Clothing with the fabulous suede coats (shown above); to handmade jewellery from Rose Cecil at Almost Perfect; a wide selection of gifts and accessories from Brush’s Broom Cupboard; throws and blankets from the Atlantic Blanket Company; classic sheepskin boots and knitwear from Celtic Sheepskin and mouthwatering delicacies and food gifts from companies such as The Seafood Restaurant and Cornish Meadow Preserves.
Last year’s Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair raised in excess of £21,000 to help Cornwall Macmillan Cancer Support continue its operations within the county and the organisers hope to raise at least as much again this year.
Caroline Tetley, Chairman of the Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair Committee explains, “The support of our sponsors, led by Lillicrap Chilcott and also including Charles Stanley, Winter Rule and Celtic Sheepskin is vital in helping us raise these significant funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in Cornwall and we are enduringly grateful for their continued support.”
The Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair will run from 10am to 4pm on Thursday 11th November. Morning tickets can be purchased in advance for £10 (price to include smoked salmon sandwiches and a glass of wine); alternatively they can be purchased on the door for £12. Afternoon tickets are priced £5 (to include a cream tea) – either in advance or on the door.
